so today we went to the malaysian embassy for the food fair. the event started at 12pm and we woke up early just to get there at 11.50 :D biarla tercongok, janji on time for MAKAN! in the train we were discussing about what we wanted to eat (tak tau menu dah boleh discuss apa nak makan, boleh?) i was aiming for nasi dagang, harold char kuey teow, sate and roti canai. so air liur dah leleh and can’t wait to get there asap. unfortunately, someone was so stubborn, or in his own words ‘i’m sure this is the correct tram’, we arrived there at 12.30pm. chessss.

when we got there, we visited ann’s booth to meet her, anis and shannen and off to jenn’s booth too. and then the party began :D i bought a nasi ayam from ann (5 euros) and harold bought a char kuey teow (of course! his favourite) the plan was to take a photo of all the food we’ve eaten so that we can torture ourselves looking at the photos of the gorgeous food. but we were so hungry and frust sebab reached there late, after i got my food, i straight away looked for a place to sit, started nom nom and realized halfway through my food that harold was looking for me *shy*

my nasi ayam was yummy and so worth the money (thanks ann! mesti datang to support your stall lagi!!) 1 mangkuk nasi, sup, kicap, sambal and ayam 3 ketul *burp* harold’s char kuey teow was a bit disappointing though. too much kicap. i have a feeling the chef nampak ‘óh, mat salleh ni aku kasi sambal lebih kang tercirit pulak’ hence the kuey teow kicap. MUAHAHAHA! tak tau laki aku makan nasi goreng, sambal kicap cili padi on the side.

after that we ate satay ayam (ok la, nak lepaskan rindu), murtabak ayam yam yam, roti jala with chicken curry, apam balik (red chopsticks, this is our version of martabak manis!), bubur chacha, and curry puffs. and of course for drinks - teh tarik kurang manis!!! and we got some free teh tarik coupons from jenn (thank you jenn!!!)

all in all, some food was great, some food was ok. but for someone who’s been away for a year, hmmmmmmmm lekker! my favourite is nasi ayam and the teh tarik. pergh! can’t wait to go back to the food fair next year. it’s get to meetup all the others and to support the friends selling. but better still, i can’t wait to get back to malaysia to get the authentic and yummy food. bila nak balik ni??? :(
