I find it rather interesting the fact that women that kiss and do sexual activities with other women tend to be approved and almost encouraged to act upon this type of behavior and yet men that kiss other men are looked down upon. Why? This has always been something that has baffled me….perhaps it has to do with the fact that I have always been a gay rights activist myself and I believe that everybody has the right to do whatever they want with their life as long as it does not hurt other people.
I also find it strange how many lesbian interactions have been happening throughout our society today among straight women! So many girls..including myself have kissed other women! Now I personally have never “made out” with another woman, but I have certainly kissed another woman on the lips before…it has always been kind of an attention getter for most girls from what I percieve. It is such a simple thing to do and yet men go crazy over it! I believe it also has a lot to do with celebrities becoming so pro-lesbian lately as well. We all know about the Madonna and Britney Spears kiss that went viral..and also the Katy Perry song as well…Do celebrities make girls believe that kissing other girls is ok? As far as I know neither Madonna, Britney Spears or Katy Perry are lesbians and yet they talk or actually kiss other girls and make it seem like it is not a big deal…
As if the spicy performance from Britney Spears and Rihanna didn’t get enough buzz in the press, a new controversy has sparked over the kiss at the end of the performance that ABC cut from the televised show. Even though the kiss was edited out of the performance, the Parent’s Television Council was still unhappy with what they say was an over-sexualized performance, asking other concerned parents and viewers to contact ABC-Disney as well as advertisers Chevrolet, Old Navy and McDonald’s:
“What happened in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas, as the saying goes. It certainly has no place at 8:00 p.m. on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves.”
“I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television. The overtly sexualized performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears was no accident or mishap, but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fantasies.”
Sarah Jessica Parker was named as the unsexiest star and given the number one spot on the list. Click here to read what she said in her interview with Grazia Magazine. Celebrities Britney Spears,Madonna, Amy Winehouse and Sandra Oh also made the Maxim Unsexiest List.
